Only Corobrik will do for energy regulator

927 300 Corobrik Agate Satin face bricks were used for the construction of Trevenna Office Campus – home to the Department of Mineral Resources & Department of Energy.

This is the second phase of the larger Trevenna Office Campus development, forms part of the Mandela Development Corridor Vision. Located in Trevenna, Pretoria, the building layouts allow for a robust, multi-tenant ‘A’ grade office scenario.

Studio 3 Architects International designed Trevenna Campus. Design architect Conrad Dinkelmann says, “The precinct is expressed as an open perimeter block, which includes visual – as well as entrance openings.”

“The courtyards allow for secure urban spaces. Corner elements, building entrances and earth coloured feature walls are articulated as focal points, creating a legible whole. Colonnaded setbacks allow for a pedestrian friendly environment.”

“Facade articulations & materials respond to the urban context, as well as to the climate: mass brick-work facades; reflective face-brick walls; metal sun shading devices; high performance glazing; set-backs; as well as screen walls and reflective metal roofs, reduce heat gain. Metal devices afford a high-tech light-weight feel, juxtaposed with the solid and grounded expression of the brickwork and landscape natural stone walls,” continues Dinkelmann
Corobrik’s Agate Satin face brick used for Trevenna Campus exhibits sharp clean lines and a colour tone in harmony with the building’s design and surrounds.
